What a night! The 2006 St.
Patrick's Day Ball saw more than 400 people party, party,
party at the Fullerton Hotel on March 17th and well into the wee small hours!
The night kicked off with a champagne reception, followed by one of the highlights of the night when our guests were treated to an awesome display of Irish Dancing by the Lynette Rock School of Dance which blew the crowd away - as they do every year!! |

One fantastic meal later [well done to the Fullerton staff!] brought on the speeches and a massive prize draw. Absolutely no one went home empty handed this year; all tables had a lucky table-prize winner and all guests received a goody-bag which contained numerous vouchers along with Baileys, Brown Bread and even Tayto's Crisps, just to mention a few items!
We had many, many great prizes for the Grand Draw for 2006, links to all the sponsors can be found on this page! Many thanks to Diageo, DHL, Eastern Carpets, Gulf Air, Go Direct, News Paper Direct, ELC etc for their very generous sponsorship.
Now suitably fed and watered, we waited for the band to do their thing! Within minutes, the floor was full of all kinds of “So You Think You Can Dance” wannabes doing all kinds of manoeuvers - some were previously unknown to mankind and should remain that way!
We even gave our guests the opportunity to learn some Irish dance moves to keep us reminded of the cultural side of the night! It was a blast! The smart folks avoided the carnage and bid on the silent auction or got their photos taken before things got out of hand altogether!
As with all good nights, the end came far too quickly – some of us were only getting started! Looking forward to 2007 already – see you there! |
