About Sunshine Welfare Action Mission

Founded in 1986, Sunshine Welfare Action Mission (SWAMI Home) provides residential care and community-based services to needy elderly.

From its modest beginning, SWAMI Home now has a capacity of 240 beds for residential care, which includes 50 beds for Dementia Residences. Other community-based services provided include:

1.    Day Rehabilitation
2.    Dementia Day Care
3.    Home Help
4.    Home Medical
5.    Home Nursing

SWAMI Home, a voluntary welfare organization relies on funding from the government and donations from the general public and caters to 650 needy elderly (240 residents for residential care and 410 clients under community-based services).

It had been accorded the Institute of Public Character (IPC) by The Ministry of Health, thus all donations to the Home are tax-deductible.
